The Diary Project

The Diary Project - this is a super neat website and project you should check out. I put a little info from their website below...

The Diary Project, a non-profit organization, is a global multimedia resource that encourages teens to write about their day-to-day experiences growing up. The nucleus of the project is this website. We invite you to write freely and often about anything that is on your mind, just as you would in your own journal. Our goal is to encourage communication amongst teens of all cultures and backgrounds, provide peer-to-peer support, stimulate discussion, and generate feedback that can help ease some of the concerns encountered along the way.

The Diary Project is a site where teens can share their innermost secrets and feelings with honesty, openness and connectedness - anonymously. It's a place where you can celebrate victories, share insights and inspire others to do the same. The site provides an impartial audience that can acknowledge and understand your feelings. It encourages self-expression, as well as listening. We hope that you will use this site as a means of positive interaction with other teens and a source of comfort for yourselves. We look forward to hearing from you.
There are thousands of entries in 24 categories posted on the site. Our purpose is to encourage essential dialogue and communication among teens and for them to know they are not alone in the challenges they are experiencing throughout adolescence.

The site is monitored by a team that includes adults and teens who consistently read all the material that is sent to The Diary Project website. The material on this site is not appropriate for adolescents below the age of 13. Please see the "submit entry" page for guidelines and protocol of the site.
