Sunday, July 4 – KMA art tent in World’s Fair Park:
Art activities for children and their families. Exact times to be announced but probably will be about 12-5pm divided into two 2 ½ hour shifts. Now an expanded collaboration with the City of Knoxville, this event is a metamorphosis of past summertime editions of Family Day. There also will be a multitude of other activities going on in the WFP, including food, music & other live entertainment. Our free art tent was a smash hit with all ages last year & we expect the same success this summer. We will need 2-3 helpers for each activity and probably will offer about a dozen activities.
Summer Art Academy, June 7 – July 30:
Generally, volunteers will sign up for a full week (Mon-Fri) at a time to assist art instructors. (The exceptions are two 1-day stained glass workshops.)
• Week-long morning classes (9am-12pm) for ages 3-12 years.
• Week-long afternoon classes (1-4pm) for ages 13 and up.
